Arizona, Week TWO

On Sunday we traveled up the mountain to my mom's house. We were happy to get out of the heat and just relax in the beautiful mountains. I often forget how beautiful it is where I grew up. I don't want to live there full time, but I do enjoy the occasional visit that we are able to make.

One of the reasons I didn't go to Europe with Brett was because I wanted to spend time with my family, more specifically my Grandma Bowers. She is getting up there in age, and we don't know how much longer she'll be around. She has a special place in my heart. I am so glad I was able to spend time with her.

I was able to run while at my mom's. I learned that 7am isn't early enough to get started as the sun is right on top of you at that time and it is hot. So, I started a little earlier the next time around.

Growing up I knew everyone in that small little town, but I quickly realized while I was out running, that I no longer knew anyone that passed by. A lot changes when you are away.
